What's new in LogYou

We've just rolled out two useful updates in LogYou designed to save your team time and keep your daily view clutter-free.

1. ⏱️ New Feature: Shelf Time & Expiry Tracking

Keep on top of stock rotation and food waste without messy paper clipboards:

At-a-glance dashboard badges: Instantly see how many items are in stock, what's expiring in the next 3 days (amber), and what expires today (red).

Full item records: Log batch numbers, quantities, storage locations, and use-by dates in seconds.

Controlled access: Team members can check current stock and expiry alerts directly from their daily view, while managers control item additions and edits in Settings.

2. ⚙️ Redesigned Settings & Customisable Sidebar

We've completely reimagined the Settings page into clean, tablet-friendly app tiles — and gave you full control over what appears on your screen:

Turn off what you don't use: Every settings tile now includes an On / Off toggle. If your venue doesn't serve alcohol, take deliveries, or track shelf life, simply toggle that section off and it disappears from your sidebar navigation.

Quicker navigation: Jump straight into any section with one tap, with clear colour-coded cards and quick return buttons.

3. 🔐 Different permissions for each role

A quick reminder that site owners can tailor access for Managers and Staff separately in Settings → Permissions. Choose which sections each role can view and record in, and which section settings they can open or edit. For example, let your team record temperatures without changing equipment settings, or give trusted staff access to manage Shelf Time items. You can also control access to Sites & Team, General Settings and Billing, so each role has the access your business needs.
